Our Story

DAMA Syria Journey

2014

First Initiative

A group of Syrian data professionals launches informal monthly meetups to exchange data management experiences.

2017

Joining DAMA International

DAMA Syria recognized as an official chapter within the global network, with the first CDMP exam preparation program launched.

2020

First National Conference

The first national data management conference held in Damascus, with 300+ participants from public and private sectors.

2023

University Partnerships

Agreements signed with three Syrian universities to integrate DMBOK into Master programs in Data Management and Data Science.

2026

Largest Data Community in Syria

Membership exceeded 850 with 15 certified instructors, alongside the launch of the professional mentorship program.
